Please give this guy a chance....
He is a pomeranian/spitz
Jackson--in need of home..no room in a
home..has to stay in dog run
German Shepard/Husky Mix
Jackson is fostered with his foster homes dogs, near Lucknow.
Jackson is a darling, loyal boy who is so long overdue for his own home. He is an extra large dog and marked as such- despite that -
people that apply keep saying they are surprised he is large and so strong. He does well on a gentle leader - please only apply if you
are willing to deal with his size and strength.

Jackson was boostered, rewormed, microchipped and had his nails trimmed 2-23-8.

Jackson is a great companion. He rides in truck with head on your arm. He does not like to be confined to a pen without the possibility of
a good long hard walk or run on a daily basis. He has been let down too many times - his permanent home has to be one where his
owners will keep up on the positive reinforcement training and bond with him all at the same time. He REALLY needs a good pack
leader in the next home so please do not apply if you have no intentions to work on his training nor treat him as the valued family
member he should be. He does not want to live outside, nor does he want to be left on a tie out for his lifetime. If you are sincere about
wanting him for a companion and are willing to do the work in training - he will be the best dog you ever had.

He just wants to be loved. He wants to play and snuggle. He is great in the car. He loves walks. He lets you know if someone comes to
your home. He would prefer a fenced yard to lounge in.

Jackson is excellent at going to bed in his crate.

Jackson's original foster mom got married and moved to a no dog apartment at the start of May '07.

His next foster mom from Kitchener had surgery in May of '08 and needed 6 weeks to recuperate - but unfortunately she has not
contacted us in the meantime - so while he stayed here till September 8th he was really missing the daily routine.

He is now living in a dog run due to lack of foster homes, as we cannot find him an indoor foster home.

He could be your new best friend! Jackson is a great boy. He loves human attention. He is strong and does well on a gentle leader. He
lived with a cat and kitten and ignored them.

Jackson is housetrained and will go to door to ask to go outside. He roamed freely in the home during the day when no-one was home.
He went into his crate when foster parents were eating. He had a bed which he laid down on and enjoyed, but also slept with his foster
mom at night too. He had been fine with foster mom's niece and nephew ages 6-9, he played very well with them. They had fed him
treats and he was gentle. Jackson is fine with mature well behaved dogs, but when he meets hyper young males on a lead he needs
redirected to pay them no attention - we addressed this in obedience classes. He was enrolled in positive reinforcement training to
desensitize him from being alarmed when approached by other dogs on lead. Like most dogs he does not like if humans or the cats try
and take his treats or toys away so again he needs to be desensitized to territorial behaviour. He would not do well with a dominant dog.
He knows the leave it command so if you want something from his mouth ask him to drop it and offer him something he'll deem of
higher value.

We had him vaccinated before we picked him up from pound, he was already neutered when found, he is said to be 4-5 yr old, we think
he is younger, he is a big boy. He was originally boostered November 25th, 2006, and treated with revolution for parasite prevention and
have dewormed with drontal plus on intake.

He was originally found in Durham dogcatcher region - he arrived to pound on September 28, 2006, but we did not get him until October.
if you think he is the dog for you complete a dog adoption application here - Dog Form

Please do not apply if you are interested in renaming him - he is used to his given name and does not need any more unnecessary
changes.

adoption fee includes neuter, vaccination, deworming and parasite prevention, collar and ID tag, transitory food and treats, his adoption
fee is $225 with all vaccines and annual booster, neuter, deworm

please feel free to submit a dog adoption application now - as it is required to be considered for him - it can be completed on the
adoption page of www.adoptapet.lucknow.on.ca
Chester needs a sincere applicant - and a fosterhome!
Chester has been learning what a normal life is like since we took him in out of a mennonite
puppy mill 9 months ago - he is now ready for adoption. He is still shy of new pepole - but will
warm up given time. He is used to dogs, cats and is now enjoying going outdoors for walks
and coming along with his housetraining. He uses puppy pads when indoors. He would do
best in a home that does not expect him to be affectionate immediately and can allow him to
blossom in his own time. Please do not appply if your dog is intact. He does not need the
harassment.
This girl just came out of a kill shelter and needs
help.....Please e-mail to adopt or foster and help save a life....

November 2nd via rescue relay
he is currently in Kentucky

if you would like to help by fostering this pet or another animal in need and you are in the London to Guelph to Huron/Bruce
area - we welcome your interest and we do ask you complete an application so we can give you the most compatible dog to
foster -please email for more details.

The pound says he is such a sweet boy. He could be stunning if someone would have him groomed.

PLEASE REMEMBER TO ADOPT A PET - AND NOT SUPPORT PUPPY MILLS OR BACKYARD BREEDERS BY BUYING FROM
THEM OR PET STORES THAT BUY FROM THEM - THIS DOG BEING AT RISK OF DEATH IS A PRIME EXAMPLE OF WHAT
HAPPENS TO THE MAJORITY OF THEIR PETS.
